Theory & Playing Classes
2008-2009
Regularly scheduled monthly Theory & Playing classes will resume in September. These classes include keyboard theory, music history, music appreciation, ear training, sight singing, sight reading, music games, and preparation for Certificate of Merit Theory Exams and Royal Conservatory of Music Theoretical Subject Exams. Students also have the opportunity to perform pieces or technical studies from their current repertoire. There will be six to eight Theory & Playing Classes scheduled during the academic school year, typically on Sunday afternoons. The fee per class will appear on your statement each month that your child attends a Theory & Playing Class. Students must attend at least 75% of the classes per academic year to remain on the active studio roster, although attendance at all Theory & Playing Classes is highly recommended. (Theory & Playing Class Fees include photocopying expenses for practice theory tests and worksheets, but not for workbooks or textbooks.)
2008-2009 THEORY GROUPS (tentative)
Classes are typically on Sunday afternoons and scheduled around various events, such as Romantic Festival, Bach Festival, and Certificate of Merit.

The THEORY REVIEW CLASS on December 7, 2008 is tentative; I may be out of town as an examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music Examinations.
