St. Anne School Instrumental Music Program

The Westside Music Foundation has raised and secured over $10,000
in funds and donations to establish an instrumental music program
at St. Anne School, a Kindergarten-8th Grade, Title I school in Santa Monica
with 70% of its students qualifying for the Federal Free Lunch Program
(family income at or below 130% of the federal poverty level). St. Anne now
has an ensemble of a dozen new Orff-Schulwerk xylophones, glockenspiels,
and metallophones, 80 recorders; and 30 acoustic guitars.

The Crossroads School has generously donated a large collection
of new Orff-Schulwerk hand percussion instruments, including hand drums,
timpani, triangles, bells, maracas, shakers, and scrapers.

A Special Thank You to:

McCabe's Guitar Shop
Ted Brown Music
MMB Music
&
an anonymous rock guitarist
who donated 20 brand-new acoustic guitars!

The St. Anne School Support Council is also pleased to announce
that 25 additional brand-new acoustic guitars have been donated
to our guitar program and will be arriving in January 2008!
